Maryland and U.S. victims of the
Rezulin drug
Rezulin®
was prescribed for blood sugar control in patients with type 2
diabetes mellitus- (non-insulin dependent diabetes). However, has
been shown to cause serious injuries in those taking the drug.
Rezulin®
was recalled in the United States in March 2000 due to liver toxicity.
(England banned Rezulin in December, 1997). At least 63
patients have died of liver failure while taking Rezulin, and many more
have suffered liver damage. Warner-Lambert reportedly made $2.1
billion from sales.
If you have liver
damage or liver failure after or during use of Rezulin, the maker
or manufacturer of the drug may be liable for compensation to you. A
lawyer can counsel you as to your right to recover damages to help
defray the costs of treatment and provide compensation for your pain and
suffering.
